Giving to support the work

‘Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times; having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.’
2 Corinthians 9:7-8

The whole range of ministry at Gerringong Anglican Church with children, young adults, families, the elderly, our training activities, missionaries and much else besides, is dependent, under God, on the generous giving of church family members. We would be glad of your partnership in this gospel work through prayer and giving of time and money.
We want to encourage as many members as possible to give electronically, where possible.

There are three main methods;
Electronic Transfer
Credit Card
Cash and Envelopes

1. Electronic Transfer: This is the best way to give as it means less money to count, less security risk, more consistent giving and easier budgeting for Parish Council. All you need to do is set up a regular transfer from your account. This can be done at the bank or via the internet. You can schedule your payments and change them at any time. Payments can be made anonymously.

2. Credit Card: You can establish a regular direct debit from your credit card in consultation with your bank. Speak to the treasurer (Di Warren) for further details about this.

3. Cash/Cheque: You can also give by cash each week or monthly at church. Regular giving envelopes are available on the back table. Use this method to give to Gerringong Anglican Church, CMS or other organizations.
Cheques for church should be made payable to "Gerringong Parish Council (Anglican)".

Mission is a partnership.

We share in that partnership by supporting brothers and sisters serving God overseas through faithful prayer and practical and financial support. We recognise that many of us also give to mission agencies directly and we’re happy to encourage you in that. However, if you wish to give through the church, you should be aware of the following:

Our Missions giving policy

At Gerringong Anglican Church we do not send a percentage of general giving to mission support. Our policy is to encourage our members to specifically identify how much they intend to give to mission support. We believe this encourages thoughtful and prayerful mission giving and support. It is very important therefore that you consider where and how you are going to direct your missionary giving. We recognise that many of us also give to mission agencies directly. It is right and proper that you do that.
If you have a specific missionary or agency in mind e.g. Christian Blind Mission or the Scarrats etc, indicate this and we will forward your gift. All monies given generally to CMS are directed specifically to support the work of our link missionaries, Jono and Amy Vink.
