Our next Explorers excursion will be to the Lucas Heights Nuclear Facility.

ANSTO stands for Australia's Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. It is a critical partner in the treatment of cancer for so many throughout our country. ANSTO also undertakes many other significant activities that can be explored on the website. 

 

The day will be simple. Just the two activities as follows:-

1. Guest speaker is Professor Roger Lewis, Professor of Physics at Wollongong Uni and member of North Goulburn Anglican

2. Tour of the facility.

• 8.50am Leave Gerringong Anglican Church 

• 10.10am - 10.50am Morning tea at the ANSTO CAFE

• 11.00am Talk from ANSTO at the Discovery Centre. 

• 1.00pm Lunch at ANSTO Cafe

• 2.00pm Heading home for Gerringong

• 3.30pm Arrive at Gerringong Anglican Church
